The University of Western Attica (UniWA) was founded in 2018 after the merger of the Athens Institute of Technology Education and the University of Applied Sciences in Piraeus. The recent merger (June 2019) with the National School of Public Health broadened the horizons of UniWA, which today consists of three historic and vibrant educational and research institutes in the Attica region. The total number of permanent staff is 1,061, of which the University's teaching staff consists of 589, and the administrative staff consists of 472. UniWA is the third largest educational institution in Greece by number of students after the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The emblem of UniWA is the Athenian philosopher Plato, a disciple of Socrates, professor of Aristotle and founder of the Plato Academy. The National School of Public Health was founded by Eleftherios Venizelos in 1929 and has since made outstanding contributions. The first two have accumulated 45 years of distinguished service since their inception, including nearly 20 years of higher education. Our experience working with all types of EU research and ERASMUS programs guarantees a high quality of organization and research for the benefit of the proposed program. Our experience in curriculum development, as well as previous experience in the development of primary health care services, is a common quality model in the areas of medical education, health system, health management and strategic management. High-level management experience in the private and public health sector. Participation in several committees of the Ministry of Development. Our experience in the development and implementation of Master's degree programs ensures high quality courses.
